Dr. James and Margarita Lee
Founder and President
Dr. James Lee is the Founder and President of Door of Hope Foundation (DHF) Inc. He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in 1997 from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. Dr. Lee and his wife Margarita have two children and six grandchildren. He is also a former U.S. Air Force veteran who served in the Flying Squadron II of NATO AWACS base in Germany. Dr. Lee has traveled to more than 100 countries spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has seen orphans and children in the world who are suffering from poverty, hunger, homelessness, physical challenges, and much more. He has been called by God to establish Door of Hope Foundation to fulfill James 1:27 and Matthew 25:31-40.
Mission Statement
In obedience to God’s call, Door of Hope Foundation exists to support, provide, assist, educate, improve and aid destitute, orphaned, needy and underprivileged children of the world. The ultimate goal is to release these children from their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christlike adults.
Statement of Faith
We believe that both Old and New Testaments constitute the divinely inspired word of God, inerrant in the originals.
We believe in one God existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.
We believe that the Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, comfort and seal those who believe in Jesus Christ.
We believe that man is totally depraved in that of himself he is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.
We believe that salvation is the gift of God who brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning blood was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.
We believe in the water baptism of believers, symbolizing the believer's union in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the observance of the Lord's Supper commemorating the sacrifice of our Savior for all mankind.
We believe the life of the believer is to be separated from the world by consistent conduct before God and man, and is to be in the world as a life-giving light.
We believe in the personal and visible and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Helping to Break the Cycle of Poverty
Door of Hope believes very strongly in the call to help the needy and less fortunate. We are completely committed to seeing the destitute, orphaned and underprivileged children growing up to be successful, mature, and Christlike adults. Also, DHF provides relief goods to refugees, widows, and suffering people in the world.
